Pathway was established in 1993 as a trio to minister in south-east Missouri. In the summer of 1995, Pathway reorganized to include singers Sean and Cheryl from Memphis, Tennessee, and Gary from Malden, Missouri. The trio ministered in churches across south-east Missouri, western Tennessee and north-east Arkansas, traveling on a weekly basis for approximately two years. Pathway has opened in concert for such well-known artists as ‘Gold City’, ‘The Kingsmen’, ‘Phil Cross and Poet Voices’ and ‘The Florida Boys.’ Pathway has also toured Ohio and Michigan, and released their first recording project, ‘Alive and Well’ in 1996.
In 1997, Pathway reorganized as it exists today with members Sean, Cheryl and Sheila. For several years, Pathway assisted in leading contemporary worship at Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. A second project entitled ‘The Blood Covered It All’ was recorded in 1998 at Jonesboro Recording, Jonesboro, Arkansas. Pathway was blessed with many excellent musicians who contributed their talents, including Larry Carter and Denny Autry from ‘The MacGruders.’
Due to ministry-related relocations, the members are unable to sing together on a regular basis. Periodically, Pathway is reunited for special engagements. Each individual feels privileged and blessed to be able to share their special gifts in the Lord’s service. Pathway prays that all who hear their message in song will be drawn closer to God and His will for their life. The message is that ‘every need can be met through faith in Jesus Christ.’
